Fresh Nominations Invited There were insufficient nominations for heats to be conducted. This event will now be conducted as a straight out NG Best 8, Saturday September 11.
Nominations close: Tuesday September 7 at 12 noon with GRNSW.

New Times for Wentworth Park Trials (see also note below re Saturday night trials after the race meeting) Currently trials are Monday nights and Tuesday mornings. Following a recent review and feedback from participants the following changes have been made – Tuesday morning will be discontinued.
The last trials under the current arrangements will be Tuesday morning September 14
New arrangements which will come into effect from the week commencing September 20 are: An additional trial night will be scheduled after the last race on Friday nights, with the conditions as outlined below. There will no longer be a requirement to have a runner at the Friday night meeting to be able to trial.
Monday Night Ordinary trials 6.00 to 7.20 pm Arm Trials 7.20 to 8.30 pm
Friday Nights after the Last Race Field and solo trials (no arm trials) Tickets to be purchased no later than race 8 (Free entry to the track for participants who are trialing only, after race 6)
Additional Trialing Opportunities will be available on selected Saturday mornings (prior to Group Events). The following Saturday morning sessions are proposed:
Saturday October 9, 2010 (Prior to nominations closing on Tuesday October 12, 2010 for Vic Peters Classic heats on Friday October 15, 2010)
Saturday March 26, 2011 and Saturday April 2, 2011 (Prior to nominations closing on Friday April 1, 2011 for Macro Meats Golden Easter Egg heats on Saturday April 9, 2011 AND nominations closing on Wednesday April 6, 2011 for Multiquip Magic Maiden heats on Sunday April 10, 2011)

Trials After Last Race Saturdays Still Available Recently it has been notified that in addition to Monday night trials a session will be available after Friday night race meetings to replace Tuesday mornings. The Friday sessions will be for ordinary trials but not arm trials, and are open to all trainers irrespective of whether they have a runner at the meeting.
It is confirmed that trials will still be available after Saturday night meeting , limited as before to those trainers who have a runner in the meeting. Some changes to the booking procedure for these Saturday night trials have been made as stated below:
Changes to Booking Procedure Effective from 3 September, 2010 the following revised procedure will apply : Trials after the last race on Saturday night are available for trainers who have a dog engaged in the meeting. Please pre book prior to the meeting by calling the GBOTA (02) 9649 7166 then dial 1 for the Racing Department.
Trainers must confirm their booking with the Weights Clerk when weighing in their race dog/s and then purchase their trial ticket at the Race Night Office early on in the night when collecting their unplaced prize money. Trials will not be permitted if the Weights Clerk has not been notified at kennelling.
Trials are conducted over 520 and 720m only and are field trials only.

Special Presentations to Acknowledge our Nationals Winners The NSW GBOTA have organised to name a race for the winners of last Saturday's Nationals and to make a special presentation to the connections on Saturday next September 4 at Wentworth Park.
The NSW GBOTA wishes to acknowledge the outstanding achievements of Blue Lorian and Smooth Fancy and connections in winning the National Championships. They have done themselves and NSW proud and we look forward to the opportunity to join with all NSW fans to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement and to make a special presentation to each of the winning trainers. Peter Whye and Anthony Azzopardi and their families will be the NSW GBOTA's special guests for this occasion next Saturday at Wentworth Park.
