 Facilities and Maintenance Grounds Officer - Gosford Greyhound Track 

An exciting opportunity exists to join NSW GBOTA as a Facilities and Maintenance Grounds Officer at our Gosford Greyhound Track.

Primary purpose of the role:

The Facilities and Maintenance Grounds Officer will be responsible for venue presentation including maintaining grass, gardens and surrounds, track, labouring, cleaning, general repairs and maintenance, waste collection, and all aspects of venue presentation, plus assistance to the Track Curator where required from time to time for track preparation and maintenance. 

Whilst primarily based Monday to Friday, this position may include weekend and evening work from time to time. This is a full time role however, we will consider for the right candidate a part time position. You will be reporting to the Team Leader Track Curator, and the Gosford Track Manager.


About the Role

All aspects of venue presentation and maintenance including but not limited to: general repairs and maintenance, mowing, edging, snipping, weeding, mulching, planting, pruning, sweeping, clearing gutters and drains, labouring, waste collection, cleaning and/or any other gardening, property or turf or track related tasks associated with grounds maintenance.  

About You

  • Current drivers licence and ability to drive manual vehicle required
  • Current WHS qualifications preferred
  • Capacity to operate equipment such as tractor, ride on mowers, power sweepers, hedgers, push mower, blowers and general chemical application.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team to achieve common organisational goals.
  • Strong work ethic with good time management skills
  • Capacity to use technology desirable
  • Capacity to assist track team as required with track maintenance

  • Has pride in work and venue presentation
  • Has regard for other people, including safe working practices
