Applications for NSW GBOTA Racing Manager Wentworth Park at the Premier racing venue in NSW

Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience or capacity in the following key performance expectations: 

  • Industry knowledge and experience essential.
  • Budget understanding and implementation experience.
  • Support track managers with any operational requirements – best practice standards.
  • Relationship management agreement across all aspects of the industry.
  • Manage GWIC/GRNSW policy changes.
  • Event planning and implementation with particular emphasis on racing carnivals.
  • Race programming – including Group Racing as well as creating new events for all NSW GBOTA racing venues.
  • Co-ordination and implementation of race night promotions with a view to increasing patronage at Wentworth Park.
  • Ability to increase commercial viability.
  • Assist with the development of new metropolitan Centre of Excellence.
  • Demonstrated high levels of time management and working under pressure.
  • Strong people and policy management including Staff evaluation and Appraisal.
  • Strong in Office 365 (Particular word, excel and outlook).
  • Race meeting development, preparation, and completion of associated paperwork for effective accounting record management including time sheets.
  • Co-ordinate trials, including overseeing scheduling and staff. 
  • Venue review with an eye for detail on venue presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience.
  • Work with representatives of national and state bodies to achieve a positive result for GBOTA.

Ideally, you will have at least two years’ experience in a similar role with proven results. You will have an appreciation of the racing/sports administration industry and a desire to make a difference.
