The Bulli Greyhound Racing Club is one of nine greyhound racing operations managed by the NSW Greyhound Breeders, Owners & Trainers’ Association.
The NSW GBOTA seeks applicants for the position of Manager Bulli Greyhound Racing Operations, from pro-active, hands-on and enthusiastic individuals.
Reporting to the NSW GBOTA’s Executive Officer, the successful appointee will work closely with the Area Director to ensure the successful conduct of 52 race meetings a year, managing permanent track staff and up to 25 casual employees at race meetings.
The position requires the following skills:
- Operations management and staff supervision.
- Office administration (including basic financial and human resource management).
- Asset management and maintenance.
- Promotion, marketing and sponsorship procurement.
- Media and stakeholder communication.
- Microsoft Office compulsory.
Experience in the racing industry is considered beneficial but not essential although a general understanding of how the racing industry operates would be considered important. The successful applicant must have the capability to self start, work unsupervised and be capable of being able to build the business via the development and implementation of a robust business plan, which would cover all aspects of the operation. Applicants should also be aware that some out of hours work is required with regard to greyhound racing and trialling sessions.
